Alice J. Walden

Alice Joyce Walden 84 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away on September 26, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born November 6, 1936 in Johnson County, Indiana and was the daughter of Lester H. and Violet (Slevin) Walden.

She is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Walden of Edinburgh, Indiana and Rose Swann of Hanceville, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Clarence "Bud" Walden, Doyle Walden, and Lester Walden, and sisters, Evelyn Wood and Betty L. Richardson.

Alice graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1955. She worked at United Technology and retired in 1989 as a press operator. She enjoyed playing softball, crafts, watching sports on TV, especially basketball, going to church, Gospel music, and talking with people. Alice was a loving, kind, and thoughtful person who was loved by her family.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 by Reverend Douglas Smith at Edinburgh Full Gospel Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
