Arthur "Dick" Stahl

Arthur R. "Dick" Stahl, 86 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away September 13, 2023 at Miller's Merry Manor in Hope, Indiana. He was born October 22, 1936 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was the son of Thomas Frank Stahl and Anna Bertha (Winters) Stahl Lentz. He married Lorene (Gilbert) Stahl on August 22, 1959 and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2023.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Katherine) Stahl of Columbus, Indiana, grandchildren, Kimber (Jacob) Sims of Columbus, Indiana, Kaley (Corey) Gregory of Edinburgh, Indiana, Kassidy (Jesse) Brock of Bedford, Indiana, Konner Stahl of Columbus, Indiana, and great-grandchildren, Cooper Settle, Jensen Sims, Kaisin Brock, Kylis Brock, Paytyn Brewer, Korbin Brock, and Paisley Brock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Richard Malcolm Stahl, great-granddaughter, JoAnna Sims, brothers, John William Stahl, Tom Stahl, Emmanuel Stahl, and Eugene Stahl, and sisters, Mildred Mathis and Alta Lake Voice.

Dick graduated from Lawrenceburg High School. He served in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Blue River Baptist Church in Edinburgh and was a former member of the Edinburgh Eagles Camping Club and the Edinburgh Lion's Club. He retired from Cummins Engine Company.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending church, camping, fishing, IU basketball, and word find puzzles.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastors Justin Surface and Joel Butler at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Blue River Baptist Church in Edinburgh.  Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
