Barbara K. Herath

Barbara K. Herath, 91 of Brook, Indiana passed away October 8, 2021 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born September 28, 1930 in East Prussia, Germany.  She was the daughter of Max and Katharina C. (Zimmer) Graffert. She married Roy L. Herath on August 27, 1959 and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2010.

She is survived by her daughter, Heidi U. Whicker of Indianapolis, Indiana, granddaughter, Brittney M. Herath of Taylorsville, Indiana, and great-grandchildren, Lainey E. Herath, Zahne L. Herath, Shaylynn R. Herath, and Ava G. Herath.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Jeorge Graffert.

Barbara was a member of the Brook Methodist Church in Brook, Indiana. She sold Avon products. She loved her family and friends, scratching lottery tickets, Facebook, and social media.

A graveside service will be conducted by Rick Gerts at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
