Brenda Lee Rooks

Brenda Lee Rooks, 63 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away October 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born November 8, 1960 in San Pedro, California. She was the daughter Hubert and Sue C. (Michaels) Burton. She married Leonard Rooks on June 16, 1979 and he survives. She is also survived by her children, James (Melissa) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana and Donna (Sean) Foster of Columbia, Kentucky, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sisters, Carol Sue (Larry) Pierce of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Debra Diane (Calvin) Crowder of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Teresa Ann (David) Hendey of Huntingburg, Indiana, and Amy Jo (Patrick) Litchfield of Edinburgh, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Roger Keith Burton, Michael Lynn Burton, and Richard Allen Burton.

Brenda graduated from Edinburgh High School and attended Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed front porch sitting with a good cup of coffee, working jigsaw puzzles, taking photos, fishing with her husband, but most important to her was being involved in the lives of her great nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon by Pastor Danny Bailey at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Calling will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
