Carolyn Sue Simpson

Carolyn Sue Simpson 80, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away November 28, 2025 at her residence. She was born April 17, 1945 in Birch River, West Virginia. She is the daughter of Harold Walker and Maxine (Kelly) Friend. Carolyn married Luther Simpson on June 23, 1962 and he survives.

Carolyn is survived by her son Lyndon Harold "Bo" (Kimberly) Simpson of Nineveh, Indiana, daughters Teresa Estes of Edinburgh, Indiana, Angela Hadley of Columbus, Indiana and Meloney Kay Ford of Edinburgh, Indiana and sister Pixie Williams of Williamsburg, Virginia, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Holly Friend and son Richard "Red Top" Simpson.

Carolyn attended Bloomington Chapel in Columbia, Kentucky. She was the president of UAW local 202 for 15 years. Carolyn retired from Como Plastics in Columbus, Indiana. She enjoyed gardening but above all spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm by Pastor Randy Denton at Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana on Wednesday December 3, 2025. Calling will be from 11:00am until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
