Cathy Beatty

Cathy Jo Beatty, 65 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away September 5, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana-Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. She was born May 11, 1958 in Franklin, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Winfrey "Wimpy" Burton and Mary Jane (Cowan) Rhodes.

She is survived by her husband, John David Beatty, Jr. of Edinburgh, Indiana, brother, Larry Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, and sisters, Sue Cox of Mt. Auburn, Indiana and Nancy (Richard) Ferguson of Columbus, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, John D. "Dusty" Beatty, brothers, Stephen Ray Burton and Lewis Hardin, and sisters, Brenda Fox and Melba J. Toops.

Cathy was a member of the Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary. She retired from the town of Edinburgh where she worked in the Utility Office.

There will be a private graveside service conducted by Reverend Guy Hardin at a later date.
