Charles "Fritz" Campbell

Charles "Fritz" Campbell, 76 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away April 23, 2026' at Compass Park in Franklin, Indiana. He was born July 20, 1949, in Franklin, Indiana and is the son of Walter R. and Lillie (Burton) Campbell. Charles married Rita Ann (Brandenburg) Campbell on December 11, 1982 and she survives.

He is also survived by his sons, Charles "Lil Fritz" (Hannah) Newby, Zach (Cindi) Campbell and Nathan (Meg) Nichols; daughter, Shannon Mellencamp; grandchildren, Andrew (Danielle) Newby, Dayton Newby, Daniel Newby, Desarae (Nick) Diltz, Fritz Newby Jr., Thomas Mellencamp, Katie Phillips and Ethan Campbell; great granddaughter, Blayklee Newby;  brother, Harold Griggs of Franklin, Indiana and his sister, Judy Campbell of Junction City, Kentucky.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Danny Campbell and Vannie Griggs.

Fritz was the founder of the core business in Edinburgh, Indiana dating all the way back to the 1960's. He continued that tradition to the day of his passing. He was the owner of CTS Core in Edinburgh, where he specialized in transmissions.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM by Pastor Joel Butler on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
