Cindy L Bechtel

Cindy L. Bechtel, 63 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was born August 12, 1959 in Lebanon, Indiana. She was the daughter of John M. and Avis A. (Ward) Byram of Brownsburg, Indiana. She is survived by her husband, Rick Bechtel, sons, Derek (Sarah) Bechtel, grandchildren, Zoe, Jentzen, Joel, of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brett (Jessica) Bechtel, grandchildren, Cooper and Valerie, of Greenfield, Indiana, and brother, Denny (Margi) Byram of Clinton, Indiana.

She was a member of Plainville Christian Church and Edinburgh Tri Kappa. She served on the Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library Board for 16 years.

Cindy retired from Edinburgh Community School Corporation where she was employed as guidance secretary.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and reading.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Jason Hyer at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Edinburgh Methodist Church. Calling will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Memorial contributions may be made to Edinburgh's high school athletic department.
