Clifton M Osborne

Clifton M. Osborne, 85 of Taylorsville, Indiana passed away July 12, 2025 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. He was born May 30, 1940 in Mansfield, Illinois. He was the son of Hollie Clyde Osborne, Sr. and Grace Jackson (Riggleman) Osborne. He married Sylvia (Jones) Osborne December 2001 and she preceded him in death on September 13, 2018.

He is survived by his siblings, Helen Dimos of Oxnard, California, Dorothy Abney of Columbus, Indiana, Louise Shearin of Martinsville, Indiana, and Larry Osborne of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, step-son, Bobby R. Martin, step-daughter, Dawn Renee Roberts, and siblings, Kate Knop, Opal Walker, Clyde Osborne Jr. Paul Osborne, Lyle Osborne, Audrey Goudy, Pony Osborne, Betty Freeland, Eleanor Obos, and Carolyn Taylor.

Clifton retired from the US Army after 20 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion.

A funeral service will be conducted by Doug Sharp at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 12:00 noon until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
