David Lee Sims

David Lee Sims,  74 of Columbus, Indiana passed away September 30, 2024 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was born July 14, 1950 in Kings Mountain, Kentucky.  He was the son of Russel and Amy (Estes) Sims. He married Merri Jo (Harrison) Sims.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, Amy Sims of Columbus, Indiana, granddaughter, Kathryn Shay, brother, Jeff (Judy) Sims of Waynesburg, Kentucky, sisters, Roberta Adington of Kings Mountain, Kentucky and Ester ((John) Peavey of Franklin, Indiana and nieces and nephews.

.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Estes, and sisters, Judy Hart and Ivadean Emerson.

David retired from Arvin Automotive. He loved being a husband, father, Papaw, and uncle to his nieces and nephews. He loved talking with family and friends, and being on the water fishing.

A private family graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
