In Loving Memory of Diana Lee Burton

Diana L. Burton, age 77, of Edinburgh, IN, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born on October 8th, 1949, in Columbus, IN, Diana was the eldest daughter of Fred and Dollie Terry. On May 17th, 1969, Diana married the love of her life, Jerry Burton, and together they shared 53 years of marriage. They enjoyed many years in retirement wintering in Texas, where they created fond friendships. Diana enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Diana is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Ronnie) Burton of Edinburgh, IN, and Anna (Nathan) Eaton of Columbus, IN; siblings, Debbie (Mark) Rice, Darlene (Scott) Tapscott, and Fred Terry. She’s also survived by grandchildren Jacob Burton, Corey (Haley) Burton, Kaden (Claire) Eaton, Alexa Eaton, Macy Eaton, and great grandchildren, Waylon, Julian, Baron, Hudson, Berkley, and Adeline. She was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Dollie Terry; sister, Delores England; and husband, Jerry Burton.

Diana will be lovingly remembered for the love she had for her family and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, IN with a private graveside service to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
