Donna Faye Hughes

Donna Faye (Gadberry) Hughes 66 passed away in Parker City Nursing facility on February 23, 2024 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Franklin on August 28, 1957 to Kenneth and Mildred (Henson) Gadberry.  She lived in Edinburgh until marrying her childhood sweetheart John Roger Hughes on June 26, 1976. She worked at Franklin Wal-Mart for many years, helped at Franklin Auction with family, babysat, and various daycares. She loved her daycare students as her own. She enjoyed watching her grandkids when they were young and family was her everything. They moved to Cambridge City, IN to be closer to family when they retired. Her favorite things were Smoky Mountains, holidays, birds (especially blue birds), butterflies, wild flowers, zoo's, her family and pets.  She is survived by her Father (Kenneth), husband (Roger), daughter Summer Fugate (Johnny), grandchildren Lexus, Nakya, and Johnny Jr., all of Cambridge City. She is preceded in death by her Mother Mildred, brother  Jerry, and nephew Tyler.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
