Elnora Burton

Elnora Burton, 88 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 31, 2023 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born May 9, 1934 in Adair County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Moss and Lena (Burton) Burton, Sr. She married Arnold Burton on August 6, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2010.

She is survived by her sons, Maxie Burton of Peoga, Indiana, Galen (Susie) Burton of Franklin, Indiana, and William A. "W.A." (Shelley) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Cathy A. (Jimmy) Weathers of Franklin, Indiana, Marilyn (Randy) Carter of Stinesville, Indiana, and Marianne (Dan) Phillips of Edinburgh, Indiana, 21 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mark D. Burton, 4 grandchildren, brothers, Moss Burton, Jr and Luther Burton, and sisters, Alma Hood, Cecil Knight, Elzada Badger, Annie Burton, Zannie Estes, Beatrice Badger, and Naomi Weber.

Elnora attended Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church and Calvary Christian Church, both in Edinburgh. She had worked at David R. Webb Company in Edinburgh and Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

She enjoyed shopping, quilting, and yard sales.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton ay 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
