Ethel Mae Rooks

Ethel Mae Rooks, 73 of Freetown, Indiana passed away June 12, 2022 at Our Hospice Of South Central Indiana, In-Patient Facility. She was born August 29, 1948. She was the daughter of Melvin L. and Doris L. (White) Roberts. She married Charles Curtis "CC" Rooks on November 12, 1972 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2022.

She is survived by her children, Gary "Jerrie" Rooks of Columbus, Indiana, Eric "Rebecca" Rooks of Columbus, Indiana, and Kim "Brandon" Martin of Brown County, Indiana, five grandchildren, and several great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parent, husband, brothers, Donald Roberts, Carl Roberts, Robert Roberts, and Dale Roberts, and sisters, Leona Petro and Betty Leonard.

Ethel was a homemaker and she loved her dogs. She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Ethel was a true survivor.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Douglas Smith at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
