Gregory Allan Lay

Gregory Allan Lay, 53, of Shelbyville, Indiana was called to his heavenly home on September 5, 2026. He was born February 13, 1973, in Columbus, Indiana, the only child of Verl and Cora (Potts) Lay.

Greg is survived by his cousins, Patricia Ann Lay Quillen (David) of Edinburgh, Indiana, Danny Lay of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Sherry Lay of St. Louis, Missouri, Amanda Bailey (Rob) of Edinburgh, Indiana, Christopher Quillen (Samantha) of Lafayette, Indiana and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several other family members.

Greg graduated from North Decatur High School in 1991. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Indiana. Greg enjoyed attending church, reading his Bible, fishing, music, his dog Daisy, family gatherings and fast cars.

A private graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Bryan Trotter at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana. Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana.
