Hayden B Burton

Hayden B. Burton 78, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025 at Franciscan Heath in Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by his children and family.  He was born July 7, 1947 in Glasgow, Kentucky and was the son of Oris and Vontress Faye (Withers) Burton. He is survived by his children, Shawna Burton of Columbus, Monica (Jimmy) Streeval of Edinburgh, Vickie (Ryan) Lenkner of Edinburgh, Felicia (Nick) Velez of Cordry Sweetwater, Dusty (Jenn) Whitaker of Franklin, Christopher Whitaker of Edinburgh, and Scotty Whitaker of Edinburgh, grandsons, Kevin Streeval, Derrick Coleman, Avynn Whitaker, Justin Knight, Braylon Lenkner, Kyler Whitaker, Kian Lobdell, Caiden Coy, Nick Coy and Cayden Burton, granddaughters, Brooke (Brodrick) Burton, Amiya Lenkner, Summer Whitaker, Malea Streeval, Kaitlyn Bailey and Madi Velez, great granddaughters, Madilynn Burton and Laylah Burton, brother, Fred (Jackie) Burton of Edinburgh, and special friend, Martha McGaha of Edinburgh.

Hayden was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ted Burton, son, Scott Burton and great grandson, Jaxton Scott Burton.

Hayden was a self-employed painter. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events, playing poker with his buddies, scratch off lottery tickets, telling stories, and he was an Edinburgh Basketball fan.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 30, 2025 by Pastor Randy Denton and Pastor David Ware at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00-8:00pm on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the church and from 11:00am until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in memory of Hayden.
