Herbert Bennett

Herbert D. Bennett, 90 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away April 21, 2021 at Keepsake Village in Columbus, Indiana. He was born March 11, 1931 in Russell Springs, Kentucky. He was the son of George Oliver Bennett and Nora (Smith) McKinley. He married Janice (Grider) Bennett on April 25, 1952 and she preceded him in death on January 19, 2018.

He is survived by sons, Michael (Lisa) Bennett of North Vernon, Indiana, Tim (Lisa) Bennett of Columbus, Indiana, and Rick (Stacy) Bennett of Columbia, Kentucky, daughters, Linda S. Pruett of Columbus, Indiana, Jeanie Jeffers of Columbus, Indiana, and Tammy (Jimmy) Swallows of Edinburgh, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brother, Ernest Bennett of Russell Springs, Kentucky, and sister, Rachael Irvin of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons, Roger Dale Bennett and Stephen Dale Bennett, brothers, Sam Bennett, Russell Bennett and Marvin Bennett, and sisters, Mildred Stepp and Helen Bennett.

Herbert retired from United Technologies. He enjoyed gardening and yard work.

A graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Randy Denton at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
