Jack Merrill Turner

Jackie "Jack" Merrill Turner, 67, of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away July 10, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 26, 1958 in Columbus, Indiana and is the son of James M. Turner and Kathyrn Sue (Durham) Bottorff.

Jack is survived by his children, Jennifer (Jeff) Vincent of Edinburgh, Indiana, Joseph (Jamie) Turner of Edinburgh, Indiana, Joshua (Nikki) Turner of Edinburgh, Indiana, Jordan (Stephanie) Turner of Edinburgh, Indiana and Derrick (Shannon) Lacey of Scipio, Indiana; brother, Richard Allen Turner of Columbus, Indiana; sister, Jeanette (Jim) Sims of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren, Jackson Adair, Jillian Turner, Jarrett Turner, Lily Turner, Bella Turner, Josie Vincent, Halle Turner, Mason Turner, Jayde Vincent, Joslyn Vincent, Tinsley Turner, Isaiah (Ally) Lacey, Hannah (Caleb) Fleener, Travis Vidal, Tally Vidal and Kelsy Burton; greatgrandchildren, Roman King and Aurora Lacey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Douglas Turner.

Jack graduated from Columbus East High School in 1976. He owned and operated Jack's Garage & Tire Shop with his sons and was a member of the Edinburgh SAL Post 233.  Jack loved to sing karaoke on Friday nights at the legion.  He enjoyed driving race cars and was an avid dirt track fan. Jack also enjoyed watching the Colts and was an IU fan. As Jack would always say "whatever".

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Randy Denton at 11:00 AM of Friday, July 17, 2026, at Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM of Thursday July 16, 2026, at the Church and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Edinburgh American Legion Post 233 in Edinburgh, Indiana in Jack's memory.
