Jay Nogan

Jay Nogan, 69, of Nineveh, Indiana passed away on October 23, 2026, at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, Indiana. He was born May 6, 1957, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and is the son of John J. and Celeste M. (Bogdan) Nogan. Jay married Joyce (Wingert) Nogan on October 13, 1979. They recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary.

Jay and Joyce had one daughter, Stephanie Nogan Bailey, who is married to Justin. Stephanie and Justin are the proud parents of Joyce and Jay's beloved granddaughter, Em.

Jay's brother, Jeff, with his wife Ann, and their family live in Scott Township, Pennsylvania. His sister, Celesta Miller, lived in the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.

Jay received his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1979. He was the proud owner and operator of Jay Nogan Mechanical Expert. Jay was a 25+ year member of the Columbus Sports Car Club and he was a motorsports enthusiast, especially loving motorcycles and Formula 1 cars. Additionally, Jay loved being outside. He enjoyed riding his bike and vacationing in the mountains with his family.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life in the spring.
