Jean E Bryant

Jean E. Bryant, 99 of Franklin, Indiana formerly of Edinburgh, passed away April 18, 2024 at Compass Park in Franklin. She was born August 21, 1924 in Edinburgh. She was the daughter of Arthur Dale and Jeanette (Hedger) Brannan. She married Garnett E. Bryant on August 5, 1940 and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2007.

She is survived by her daughters, Judith (Earl) Miller of Edinburgh, Indiana and Wilma Moore of Franklin, Indiana, sons, Don (Sue) Bryant of Carmel, Indiana and Doug (Irene Carros) Bryant of North Carolina, grandchildren, Mark Lee, Darren Lee, Evan Bryant, Kathern Carter, Jami Moore, David Moore, Eric Moore, and several great-grand, great-great grand, and great-great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Arthur Dale Brannan, and sister, Doris Lucus.

Jean was a member of the Edinburgh Methodist Church. She retired from Edinburgh High School where she was a cafeteria manager.

She enjoyed spending winters in Florida and was an avid camper.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Jason Hyer at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Edinburgh Methodist Church. Calling will be from 11:30 AM on Monday until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
