Joey L Russell

Joey L. Russell, 64 of Edinburgh, Indiana entered his Heavenly Home on August 1, 2024.  He was born August 12, 1959 in Albany, Kentucky. He was the son of Jo Helen (Tuck) Russell. He married Vickie (Burton) Russell on July 7, 1978 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Joseph Russell of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandchildren, Dylan (Sydney) Russell, Dakota Russell, Peyton Russell, and Maci Russell, great grandchildren, Walker Russell and Eli Russell, and sisters, Brenda Kay Harmon of Edinburgh, Indiana, Mary Kathryn (Randy) Tompkins of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Martha Karen Orner of Franklin, Indiana, Peggy Burton of Evansville, Indiana, and Deborah (Bobby) Parker of Shelbyville, Indiana.

He was preceded in death his mother and brother, Eddie Russell.

Joey was a member of the Blue River Baptist Church in Edinburgh. He was employed by Caterpillar in Franklin, Indiana for many years. He was on the Edinburgh Volunteer Fire Department and served as an EMT. He enjoyed blue grass music and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Justin Surface at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Blue River Baptist Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
