John "Joe" Henson

John "Joe" Henson, 82 of Franklin, Indiana passed away November 9, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born June 19, 1941 in Liberty, Kentucky. He was the son of Robert and Irene (Smith) Henson. He married Donna (Allman} Henson on July 25, 1963 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Robert "Bobby" Henson of Franklin, Indiana, and sisters, Shirley Clark of Science Hill, Kentucky and Marcella (Dale) Hines of Liberty, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Henson, brothers, Clifton Henson and Gary Henson, and sisters, Mildred Gadberry, Lucille Richerson, and Drucilla Rodgers.

Joe attended Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. He retired in 2004 after 42 years at Arvin-Meritor in Franklin. After retiring he worked for the town of Edinburgh for two years. He enjoyed antique cars, street rods, and Bluegrass music.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Tim Streeval at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be on Monday, November 13 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
