Joyce Joann Owens

Joyce Joann Owens, 76 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born September 7, 1945 in Fowler, Indiana. She was the daughter of Floyd Jackson and Matilda Pauline Jewell. She married Jimmy C. Owens on July 15, 1961 and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Jimmy J. Owens of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Joyce Lynn (Donny) Austin of Franklin, Indiana and Judy Ann (Ronnie) Cox of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Denise Owens of Edinburgh, Indiana, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and brothers, William (Joanne) Jewell of Kentucky and Edward (Linda) Jewell of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren, Ron Cox and Amber Stitt, brother, Raymond Jewell, and sister, Gladys Young.

Joyce retired from Lier after 29 years. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, making flower arrangements, and yard sales.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Guy Hardin at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at the church and from noon until time of service on Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
