Judy C Prather

Judy C. Prather, 75 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed February 22, 2025 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. She was born April 2, 1949. She was the daughter of David and Lola (Burton) Allen. She married Brian Prather on July 17, 1971. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2022.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew (Eunice) Prather of Columbus, Indiana and David (Audrey) Prather of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandsons, Elijah Prather and Adam Prather, step-grandsons, Jimmy Green, Eddie Green, Branson Arnold, and Aaron Arnold, step-granddaughter, Morgan Arnold, 20 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Kurmit Allen and Wendill Allen.

Judy attended Calvary Christian Church in Edinburgh. She was a member of the Quilters Association and Arbor Day Foundation. She was employed in the Latch Key Program for Edinburgh Community Schools for 19 years. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, gardening, crafts, reading, and making daily entries in her journal.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Nelson Lee at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Calvary Christian Church. Calling will be from noon until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
