June Kay

June Kay, 98 of Beloit, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026. She was born September 18, 1927, in Edinburgh, Indiana, the daughter of Roy M. and Flossie M. (Clark) Owens. June married Raymond Kay (Krzywinski) on February 8, 1947. They met at Camp Atterbury where June worked and Ray was posted in the U.S. Army, awaiting discharge. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2002.

June is survived by her children; Douglas Kay of Berwyn, Illinois, Jack (Linda) of Redmond, Oregon, Elizabeth (Dan) Baroni of Beloit, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Bridget Kenter, Frank Baroni, Cally Baroni, Jake Baroni and her 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Robert Owens, Jack Owens, Maurice Owens, Carrol Owens, Dale Owens and Harold Owens and her sisters, Doris Payne, Maxine Tobias and Betty Marshal.

June graduated in 1945 from Edinburgh High School. June and Ray lived in Chicago and Oak Park, Illinois, where she loved working as an elementary school secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed dearly!
