Laverne Williams Burton

Laverne (Michaels) Williams Burton, 84 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 2, 2021 at Hickory Creek in Franklin, Indiana. She was born June 17, 1936 in Brown County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Jason and Ruby (Followell) Michaels.

She is survived by her son, David (Denise) Williams of Mount Auburn, Indiana, five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and sister, Cynthia (Mark) Dickey of Edinburgh, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parent, husband, Clay Junior Williams whom she married on September 11, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1999, son, Larry Dean Williams, daughters, Linda K. Estes and Patsy Ann Weddle, brothers, Donnie Michaels and Robert Michaels, and sisters, Lois Burton, Sue Burton, Connie Eastham, and Wanda Jean Beck.

Laverne was a member of the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle Church. She loved to cook and bake, going to garage sales, and sewing.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Mark Myers at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
