Lonnie J. Burroughs Sr.

Lonnie J. Burroughs, Sr.  73 of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away February 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of Norman and Leona M. (Rexroat) Burroughs.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Mitch) Schultz of Tuscola, Illinois, sons, Lonnie (Katy) Burroughs, Jr of Edinburgh, Indiana, Andrew (Michelle Gaskins) Burroughs of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Landon Burroughs of Edinburgh, Indiana, ten grandchildren, sisters, Sherry (Jim) Duel of Carmel, Indiana and Kendra (Jimmy) Curry of Whiteland, Indiana, and sister-in-law, Kathy Burroughs of Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale Burroughs.

Lonnie was an U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed going to Edinburgh High School's sports. He coached Edinburgh's baseball and football Little League sports for many years.

A funeral service will be conducted by Charlie Long at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
