Mabel "Macy" Allen

Mabel "Macy" Allen, 81 of Franklin, Indiana passed away June 7, 2022 at Morning Point Assisted Living in Franklin, Indiana. She was born December 21, 1940 in Lesley County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Ray and Dorothy (Huff) Miniard. She married Fred Allen on November 5, 1965 and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2002.

She is survived by her daughter, April Dawn (Jeffery) Trapp of Franklin, Indiana, son, Tracy Phelps of Boca Raton, Florida, grandson, Corbin Allen Trapp of Franklin, Indiana, and sister, Irene (Ronnie) Harris of Franklin, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Lonnie Minyard and Paul Jensen, and sister, Nan Longacre.

Macy was a member of the Edinburgh Presbyterian Church and a member of the Edinburgh Ministerial Association. She was manager of the I-65 Standard Oil Truck Stop in Taylorsville, Indiana. She also ran Edinburgh food pantry for five years. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Roger McDaniel at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Edinburgh Presbyterian Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM on Monday until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
