Margaret Joan Watkins

Margaret Joan Watkins, 85 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away February 17, 2023 at her residence. She was born January 6, 1938 in Bargersville, Indiana. She was the daughter of Joseph Costa Minnemeyer and Lydia Margaret (Glassburn) Nicholas. She married Monroe A. Watkins and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Marnie Jo Watkins of Edinburgh, Indiana, son, Joseph Allen (Desiree) Watkins of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandchildren, Joseph M. Watkins, Kiersten Watkins, Pamela (Kurt) Ditchley, and Melanie Hauch, nine great-grandchildren, and sister, Karen Minnemeyer of Franklin, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a great-granddaughter.

Margaret graduated from Center Grove High School and was a member of the First Christian Church in Bargersville. She enjoyed crafts, especially needle point, and being outdoors.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Ken Rickett at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
