Marjorie Mae Marsh

Marjorie Mae Marsh, 99 of North Vernon, Indiana passed away January 15, 2024 at Majestic Care in North Vernon. She was born on May 13, 1924 in Tuttle, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Robert Vincent Robertson and Marie (Taasevigen) Robertson. She married Jakie Harrey Knicely in February, 1944 and he preceded her in death. She later married Marvin Marsh in August, 1974 and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna (Knicely) Jordan, sisters, Betty Lou Land and Nellie P. Smith, and nephew, Rick Land.

She is survived by her nephews, Robert (Donna) Smith of Whiteland, Indiana, David (Debbie) Smith of Mount Auburn, Indiana, Jackie (Phyllis) Smith of Edinburgh, Indiana, Ron (Christy) Land of North Vernon, Indiana, and Tim (Mary Anders) Land of Cortland, Indiana, and niece, LuAnne Smith of Santa Rosa, Florida.

Marjorie attended Mount Auburn school. She was a member of Saint George Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 233, Edinburgh, Indiana. She was a sales clerk at Diana Shop and was an in-home care giver. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and was politically active.

A graveside service will be conducted by Reverend Burt Brock at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
