Martha Louise Hendricks

Martha Louise Hendricks, 95 of Taylorsville, Indiana passed away February 1, 2024 at Homeview Center of Franklin. She was born August 8, 1928 in Brown County, Indiana. She was the daughter of John David and Etta Lovie (Snyder) Hamblen. She married George L. Hendricks on August 10, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Sue Sink of Edinburgh, Indiana, David (Patty) Hendricks of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Martha (Kenneth) Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, niece, Brenda Isley, and nephew, Larry Waltz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Douglas Lee Hendricks, son-in-law, Frederick Lee Sink, sister, Dorothy Hamblen Waltz, and brother-in-law, Luther Waltz.

Louise was a 1946 graduate of Edinburgh High School. She was a member of the former First Christian Church in Edinburgh and a 25 year member of the Southport Eastern Star. She retired after working 16 ½ years for William D. Gambill, MD as a doctor's assistant.

She enjoyed family gatherings. She loved spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren, working in her garden, and doing yard work. Louise was an avid Pacer fan. She never missed a game.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana and then followed by a private family graveside service at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
