Martha "Marti" Johnson

Martha Jane "Marti" Johnson, 72 of Columbus, Indiana passed away July 31, 2024 at her residence. She was born February 12, 1952 in Miami, Florida. She was the daughter of Jack Moore and Jessie Bottoms.

She is survived by her children, Stevin D. Powell of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Meloney Simpson of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Billy (Amanda) Bowker of Franklin, Indiana, and grandchildren, Caitlin Ford, Lillie Ford, Autumn Hall, Cole Bowker, and Isabell Bowker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Corey Dennison.

Marti always kept God close to her heart. She was a school bus driver for many years in Tampa, Florida and the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.  She enjoyed going to the beach with her family, watching true crime documentary shows, and hanging out with her best friend, Margaret Reinhart.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
