Mary Ann Croxton

Mary Ann Croxton, 88 of Greenwood, Indiana went home to be with Jesus peacefully on January 11, 2024 at Greenwood Village South. She was born on February 23, 1935. She was the daughter of Chester and Anna Mildred (Gharst) Stine. She married Rex C. Croxton on June 6, 1987.  He preceded her in death on November 19, 2008.

She is survived by her 5 children; Valeri (Tim) Marks of Tampa, Florida; Cheryl (Tim) Garner of Whiteland, Indiana; Mark (Myong) Brown of Tampa, Florida; Brian (Jennifer) Brown of Potomac Falls, Virginia; and Kim (William) Hurd of  Westfield, Indiana. She has 11 grandchildren; Jessica Dominiczak, Jordan Marks, Jarret Marks, Kristen Garner, Lauren Garner, Mariel Brown, Spencer Garrett, Olivia Garrett, Isaiah Hurd, Elijah Hurd, and Noah Hurd. Great-grandchildren include Addison, Connor, Parker, Madelyn, and Lennon. Jean Sweet of Franklin, Indiana is her surviving sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-granddaughter, Nora Marks, and sister, Eldine Mays.

Mary Ann was a member of the Greenwood Christian Church. She retired as a registered radiology technologist. She formerly worked at the Columbus Hospital in Columbus and St. Vincent Hospital in Elwood.

She enjoyed playing the piano and organ at her church. She loved music and animals, especially dogs, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted by Scott Pitts at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Greenwood Christian Church, 2045 Averitt Road, Greenwood. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Donations can be made to Johnson County Animal Shelter in lieu of flowers.
