Michael W Smith

Michael "Mike" Wayne Smith, 60 of Flat Rock, Indiana passed away October 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born August 22, 1962 in Russell Springs, Kentucky. He was the son of Lloyd C. and Joyce R. (Higginbotham) Smith of Franklin, Indiana.

He is survived by his parents, sons, Nathan Smith of Edinburgh, Indiana, Joe Smith of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Brandon (Brooklynn) Smith of Greensburg, Indiana, daughters, Mindy Smith of Taylorsville, Indiana, Trindy (Luis) Mejia of Columbus, Indiana, Kaylee Riddle of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Nikya (Adam) Dorton of Edinburgh, Indiana, 13 grandchildren, brother, Dallas Lynn (Anita) Smith of Franklin, Indiana, and sister, Beverly Jo (Roedale) Burton of Franklin, Indiana.

Mike was a 1980 graduate of Southwestern High School. He was a heavy equipment operator for Local 103 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He enjoyed talking with friends, riding his motorcycle, old cars, fishing, and watching old westerns.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Mike Whited at 12:00 noon, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the church and from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
