Mirna G Stapleton

Mirna G. Stapleton, 69 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. She was born July 27, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Pedro Garcia, Jr. and Pura (Garcia) Garcia. She married Donald Stapleton on November 29, 1997 and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Enrique (Brooke) Garcia of Columbus, Indiana, daughters, Veronica (Luis) Alva of Columbus, Indiana, Chastity Ford of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Amber (Mike) Moon of Columbus, Indiana, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Petra Duram, Maria Elena Hendrix, Rosalinda Raya, Ramon Garcia, Maria de Rosario Yebarra, Ismael Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, Estella Munoz, and Jose Luis Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Ophelia Garcia, Pedro Garcia III, Maria de la Luz Hinojosa, Teresita Garcia, and Pedro Garcia IV.

Mirna retired from Camp Atterbury as an in and out processing secretary. She was of the Messianic faith. She enjoyed reading her bible and teaching English as a second language at Ivy Tech.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Mark Pingleton at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the church and from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
