Norman “Ted” Smith Jr. 60, of Taylorsville, Indiana passed away October , 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. He was born September 12, 1966, in Columbus, Indiana and is the son of Norman Smith of Columbus, Indiana and Linda (Cash) White of North Vernon, Indiana. Ted is survived by his parents, stepfather, James White; stepmother, Tammy Smith; children, Samantha (Matthew Falor) Smith of Taylorsville, Indiana, Nicholas (Ashleigh) Smith of Taylorsville, Indiana and Zoe (Kyle) Godsey of Columbus, Indiana; sisters, Shella (Ronnie Lewis) Smith of Scipio, Indiana, Michell (Jammie) Jeffries of Columbus, Indiana, Kelly Cox of Columbus, Indiana and Amanda (David) Kirts of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren, Zayne Smith, Skylynn Smith, Zylas Falor, Leaa Smith and Leon Smith; nephews, Robert Hazelwood of Columbus, Indiana and Jacob Smith of Columbus, Indiana; nieces, Linda Bierlein of Columbus, Indiana, Jerrica (Josh) Douglas of Columbus, Indiana, Jaelan (Jordon) Kuntz of Medora, Indiana, Emma Lewis of Scipio, Indiana and Makenna Smith of Lakeland, Florida. Ted enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, driving around in his Hummer, singing and he played the bass guitar in a band.
