Ovest B Moxley

Olvest B. Moxley, 87 of Taylorsville, Indiana passed away June 4, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born December 26, 1934 in Casey County, Kentucky. He was the son of Henderson Carey and Vina (Bryant) Moxley. He married Gretha W. (Monday) Moxley on August 4, 1961 and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2017.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle R. Moxley of Taylorsville, Indiana, grandchildren, Kyle Moxley, Denzell Thomas, and Izabella Martinez, and sisters, Evangeline Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana and Kate (Delmer) Carpenter of Forest, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, James Wendell Moxley, brother, Carey Moxley, Jr, half-brothers, Talmadge Moxley, Ross Moxley, Wyatt Moxley, Bland Moxley, Clisby Moxley, John Moxley, and Travis Moxley, and half-sisters, Eula Hayes, Mabel Hayes, Nannie Cochran, and Blanch Moxley.

Olvest was a member of the Parkside Baptist Church in Columbus, Indiana. He retired after 31 years as a machine operator from Cummins Engine Company and never missed a day of work. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and being outdoors.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Danny Bailey at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the church and from 1:00 PM until time of service on Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
