Randy J. Smith, 75 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 3, 2025 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation in Franklin, Indiana. He was born October 6, 1949 in Columbus, Indiana. He was the son of Homer Joe and Mary Ada (Bryant) Smith. He married Rebecca C. "Becky" (Love) Smith on December 18, 1971 and she preceded him in death on June 20, 2020.

He is survived by sons, Gregory Alan (Jerica) Smith of Columbus, Indiana, Jason Alexander (Mindy) Smith of Columbus, Indiana, and Joseph Homer (Martina) Smith of Columbus, Indiana, grandchildren, Zachery Smith, Madison Smith, Dawson Smith, Connor Smith, and Makenzie (Chance) McAllister, brothers, Marlin (Sue) Smith of Franklin, Indiana, Steve (Patti) Smith of Whiteland, Indiana, Ernie (Rachael) Smith of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Jerry Wayne Smith of Ellettsville, Indiana, sisters, Clara Faye (Carroll) Ridpath of Edinburgh, Indiana, Pam (Sam) Phelps of Franklin, Indiana, Edna (Mike) Lawson of Franklin, Indiana, and Karen (Paul) Lirot of Ellettsville, Indiana, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith of Taylorsville, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Earl Smith.

Randy graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1967. He retired from Amos Plastics and was a Boy Scout leader Troop 209 for 20 years.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Danny Carter at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
