Richard L Mcmichael

Richard L. "Dick" McMichael, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Compass Park in Franklin, Indiana on January 12, 2024. He was born on December 13, 1934 in Connersville, Indiana. He was the son of Harold C. and Hazel M. (Johnson) McMichael. He married Patricia "Pat" (Johnson) McMichael on October 19, 1958 and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2023.

He is survived by his daughters, LeAnn (David) Lain of Edinburgh, Indiana and Linda Hofer of Seymour, Indiana, son, John McMichael of Edinburgh, Indiana, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters, Ester Pruet and Evelyn Lynn.

Dick graduated from Connersville High School in 1953. He had previously worked in Plastic Injection Molding at Amos Plastics in Edinburgh. He later worked as a Tool and Die engineer before retiring in 1997 from Como Plastics in Columbus, Indiana.  He enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, and hunting.

A private family graveside service will be conducted at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Main Street Hospice in Franklin, Indiana.
