Rickey Wayne Burton

Rickey Wayne Burton, 69 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away October 16, 2024 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana In-Patient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. He was born June 22, 1955 in Franklin, Indiana. He was the son of Howard Wayne and Mary (Johnson) Burton.

He is survived by his son, Dustin (Lori) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Anita Bailey of Columbia, Kentucky, Leslie (Thomas) Wade of Columbia, Kentucky, and Joni Burton of Tennessee, grandchildren, Brooklyn Bailey, Dakota Ackerman, Whitney Wade, and Charlotte Burton, 4 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Billy Ray Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, Genius Lee Burton of Columbus, Indiana, Andy Lynn Burton of Columbus, Indiana, and Chris Dean (Stephanie) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, George Ed Burton and Roger Burton.

Rickey enjoyed NASCAR. He was a Jeff Gordon fan and collector of Jeff's memorabilia. He was also a Monster Truck fan and enjoyed tinkering with cars.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Douglas Smith at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
