Ruth A Elliott

Ruth A. Elliott, 82 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away January 9, 2021 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana-In Patient Facility in Columbus, Indiana. She was born August 11, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Jerry Cox and Elizabeth (Miller) Sallee. She married William A. "Bill" Elliott on December 10, 1976 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2007.

She is survived by her children, Helen (Duane) Stillabower of Columbus, Indiana, Elizabeth (Eugene) Williams of Edinburgh, Indiana, Sarah (Benny) Elliott of Taylorsville, Indiana, Melissa (Lester) Gibson of Seymour, Indiana, Eric Elliott of Columbus, Indiana, Matthew Elliott of Edinburgh, Indiana, David Elliott of Edinburgh, Indiana, Bill Elliott of Tennessee, Susan (Duane) Johnson of Tennessee, Debra Dailey of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Charlotte Dailey of Edinburgh, Indiana, twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and brother, Carl (Mary) Cox of Columbus, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Danny Myers, sister, Sarah Poole, and brothers, Garnet Cox, David Cox, Harold Cox, Everett Cox, Johnny Cox, and Willard Cox.

Ruth was a member of the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. She worked at Hardees on Third Street in Columbus as the biscuit maker for 15 years. She loved going to church and reading her Bible.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Mark Myers at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 12:00 noon until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
