Sara E. Allen

Sara E. Allen  72 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away March 23, 2021 at Homeview Center of Franklin. She was born March 31, 1948 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Joseph N. and Mary (Cornelius) Prather. She married Kermit J. Allen on January 11, 1969 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1989.

She is survived by her sons, Nathan Allen of Edinburgh, Indiana and Robert Allen of Franklin, Indiana, daughters, Jennifer Allen of North Vernon, Indiana and Hannah (Jeff) Boucher of Columbus, Indiana, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and brother, Brian (Judy) Prather of Edinburgh, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Joseph Allen.

Sara was a member of Compassionate Friends Organization. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, music, writing poetry, and was a published author.

A graveside service will be conducted by Jennifer Allen at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
