Sherrie L. Griggs

Sherrie L. Griggs, 68 of Shelby County, Indiana passed away March 2, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Gordon E. Allen and Opal M. (Smith) Schaefer. She married Harold Griggs on December 31, 1996.

She is survived by her mother, Opal, her loving husband, Harold, son, Allen T. (Mischelle) Bilyeu of Greenwood, Indiana, granddaughter, Abby Bilyeu, step-son, Greg (Lynn) Griggs of Edinburgh, Indiana, step-daughter, Allison (Bruce) Wade of Franklin, Indiana, step-grandchildren, Adam (Kathleen) Wade of Franklin, Indiana, Skylar Wade of Franklin, Indiana, and  David Griggs of Geneva, Indiana, and nephew, Nick E. Allen of Greenwood, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon, brother, Gregg E. Allen, and nephew, Cory Allen.

Sherrie was a member of Blue River Baptist Church. She worked at Wonder Bread Bakery and Hostess in the accounting office. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, horseback and motorcycle riding, and camping.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Justin Surface at 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Blue River Baptist Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
