Shirley A. Hancock

Shirley A. Hancock, 81 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away July 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 25, 1939 in Johnson County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Robert D. and Mildred Agnes (Morrison) Cochran.

She is survived by her son, Valley Houston "Bub" Hancock, Jr. of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Janice (Stanley) Curry of Edinburgh, Indiana, Marla Giles of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Tamera (Ron) Mayes of Southport, Indiana, seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and sister, Ilene Burton of Whiteland, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Valley Houston Hancock, Sr, son, Johnny Hancock, brother, Parvel D. Cochran, and sister, Donna Cromlish.

Shirley graduated from Edinburgh High School and was a member of Bethel Holiness Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her Bible, going to church, cooking and baking.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverends Nathan Shockley and Bob Thompson at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
