Teresa Vanwhy

Teresa VanWhy, 64 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away July 30, 2021 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. She was born June 24, 1957 in Edinburgh, Indiana. She was the daughter of Ray Burton and MaryBell (Burton) Burton. She married Roland VanWhy August 10, 1974 and he survives. She is also survived by her son, Joe (Sarah) VanWhy of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughter, MaryAnn (Larry) Howard of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandchildren, Braxton VanWhy, Justice VanWhy, and Andrew Howard, great-granddaughter, Lucy Lynn, brother, Wayman (Judy) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, sisters, Irma Pendleton of Edinburgh, Indiana, Elzana Reed of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Donna (Robert) Moore of Edinburgh, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Hyman Burton, Herman Earl Burton, and Howard Burton, and sisters, Della Rhodes and Nelma Land.

Teresa was a graduate of Edinburgh High School and was a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, singing, and music.

A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Danny Bailey at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
