Venus Denise Goff

Venus Denise (Lee) Goff, age 64, of Franklin, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was born on Monday, August 17, 1959, in Franklin to Larry Lee and Cecil Marie James.

She will always be remembered for her green thumb, love for plants and animals, canning the fruits of her labor, collector, jewelry and red nail polish wearing, barefoot hippie that attended Franklin Community High School.

Most of all she loved being a Grammy, her family, and her furbabies.

She is survived by son: Beau Peavler, daughter: Katie Turner, grandchildren: Rowan and Amara Simmerman; father: Larry Lee; husband: David Goff; stepsons: Jeremiah Turner and David Goff Jr., stepdaughter: Heather Turner-Castro and Stephanie (Goff) Turner; ten step grandchildren; siblings: Larry "Alex" Lee, Doshia Lee, and Jesse McKinney; nephew: Chase; niece: Abigail; and furbabies: Peter, Tango, and Cash.

Venus is preceded in death by her mother: Cecil Marie James; maternal grandparents: Avery & Marietta James; paternal grandparents: Callus & Ardella Lee; and stepson: Steven Turner.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, viewing begins at 10 a.m. to 1p.m. with services to follow at the Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, IN.
