Virginia Louise Burbrink

Virginia Louise Burbrink, 86 of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep May 12, 2023. She was born April 20,1937 to Washington and Hazel (Foust) Conner. Virginia grew up in the Columbus, Indiana area and attended Columbus North High School and Indiana University. On March 23, 1958 she married the late Harlan E. Burbrink. They spent their married life on the farm in the Edinburgh area. While she always enjoyed farming, she also enjoyed working at Cummins Engine Company, Shelby County Auditors Office, Shelby County Community Corrections, and public accounting. She was very active in her local community serving Shelby County Farm Bureau, St. George Lutheran Church, Shelby County Democratic Party, Indiana Egg Board, Shelby County 4-H, Shelby County Rural Youth, and Flat Rock Volunteer Fire Department Citizens Committee.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and brother, Don Conner of Ashland, Kentucky. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Thomas Conner, children, Anngie Steinbarger (Mike), Michael Burbrink (Susan), Rebecca Sanford (late, Tim), and Cindy Holder (late, Darin). She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Hayley Clark (Dan), Michelle Tobias (Matthew), Elizabeth Sweet (Anthony), John Burbrink (Brooke), Rachelle Burbrink, and Clayton Holder, as well as her 11 great- grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, May 20, 2023 at St, George Lutheran Church Edinburgh, IN with Chaplin Michael Mercer officiating. Those wishing to offer the family their condolences are welcome to call at the church at 10AM.

The family has requested memorials to St. George Cemetery Association in lieu of flowers.
