William Burton

William "Bill Boy" Burton, 76 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away November 5, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 11, 1944 in Columbia, Kentucky. He was the son of John Henry and Agnes M. (Stapleton) Burton. He married Karen R. (Collins) Burton on July 12, 1969 and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Danny (Crystal) Miller of Franklin, Indiana, and William Burton, Jr. of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughter, Donna Sears of Columbus, Indiana, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother, Eddie Dale (Susie) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, sister, Judy Lowman of Edinburgh, Indiana, and sister-in-law, Mary Burton of Owensboro, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David E. Burton and sister, Hattie R. Burton.

Bill Boy was a graduate of Edinburgh High School and a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. He retired from Arvin's Industries after 37 1/2  years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports. Bill loved his Edinburgh Lancers.  He had the biggest heart for his Lord and Savior.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 9, 2020 by Reverend Danny Bailey at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 10:00 AM on Monday until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
